| Special Considerations: No Excuse Bonus: Bonus #1: $2,500,000 to complete the contract in 1150 days. Incentive/Disincentive: Ramp 2-D1 (10th Avenue N SB Off-Ramp): I/D daily amount of $7,500. Max
I/D: $75,000; Max closure time 28 days. Other Special Provisions: Article 8-3.3: Prosecution of Work- Flexible Start Time: Allows the contractor to procure material. It requires the contractor to obtain an approved schedule. Trainee requirements are identified and a trainee schedule is submitted and approved by the Department. Submittal of all critical shop drawings and attend a mandatory constructability workshop. Article 8-3.7: Disputes Review Board: The Board will provide special expertise to assist in and facilitate the timely and equitable resolution of disputes, claims, and controversies between the Department and the Contractor in an effort to avoid construction delay and future claims. Article 8.4-10: Protection of Adjacent Properties: Any equipment
used by the Contractor for this project shall not exceed vibration levels
of 0.20 inch per second at any point within 400 feet of the right of way.
The Contractor shall employ a qualified Specialty Engineer to monitor
and record vibration levels produced by vibratory construction equipment
used on this project. The Contractor shall perform a Pre-Construction
survey with the use of video and still photography on each property, located
within 400 feet from the Right of Way, identifying the existing structural
conditions, of the property or any other improvement of such property
which may be affected by vibration. Article 8-4.11: Noise Restrictions: Equivalent sound levels shall not exceed 50dba Monday - Friday from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m., all day Sunday and during legal holidays. Article 102-3.3: Sequence of Operations: Construction of the project north of Forest Hill Boulevard is not to begin until Phase III is complete. This is to prevent any possible conflicts with the construction of the SR 80 interchange. Article 104-7.3: Routine Maintenance: Sweep the I-95 roadway and bridge surfaces every 14 days, and the side streets every 7 days. Provide daily clean up of litter, debris and dirt from local streets and properties. Failure to clean up in 12 hours, FDOT has right to clean up and back-charge the contractor. |
